There will be changes on some public transport routes during Lattelecom Riga Marathon
„Rīgas satiksme” informs that on May 19 and 20, during the Lattelecom Riga Marathon and until the end of the event, some public transport routes will be changed or closed.
On May 19, 2018, from 9:45 until 10:45 approximately, delays in the public transport traffic are likely in Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street and Z.A. Meierovica Boulevard, and terminal “Esplanade” of bus routes No. 37, 41 and 53 will be also closed for a short while.
Buses
Bus No. 13 – will run from Babīte railway station by the route to Daugavgrīvas Street, then along Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11th November Embankment, 13th January Street, Marijas Street and further by the route. From „Preču-2”, the bus will run by the route to Merķeļa Street, then along Merķeļa Street, Brīvības Boulevard, Raiņa Boulevard, 13th January Street, 11th November Embankment, Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Raņķa dambis, Daugavgrīvas Street and further by the route.
Bus No. 30 – will run from Daugavgrīva by the route to Slokas Street, then along Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11th November Embankment, 13th January Street (stop „Railway Terminal Square”). In the direction of Daugavgrīva, the bus will run along 13th January Street, 11th November Embankment, Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street and further by the route.
Buses No. 37 and 41 – will run from Imanta by the route to Slokas Street, then along Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11th November Embankment, 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Brīvības Boulevard (stop „Freedom Monument”). From stop „Freedom Monument”, the bus will run along Brīvības Boulevard, Raiņa Boulevard, 13th January Street, 11th November Embankment, Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street and further by the route.
Bus No. 53 – will run from Zolitūde by the route to Kalnciema Street, then along Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11th November Embankment, 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Brīvības Boulevard (stop „Freedom Monument”). From stop „Freedom Monument”, the bus will run along Brīvības Boulevard, Raiņa Boulevard, 13th January Street, 11th November Embankment, Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street and further by the route.
Bus route No. 57 will be closed.
Trams
Tram No. 5 – will run from Iļģuciems by the route to Aspazijas Boulevard, then along Aspazijas Boulevard, Krišjāņa Barona Street, Radio Street, 13th January Street and back by the route to Iļģuciems. A part of the route from the Mīlgrāvis terminal will be closed.
Tram No. 7 – will run from Ķengarags by the route to Aspazijas Boulevard, then along Aspazijas Boulevard, Krišjāņa Barona Street, Radio Street, 13th January Street and back by the route to Ķengarags. A part of the route from Ausekļa Streert will be closed.
Tram No. 11 – will run from Mežaparka to stop „Railway Terminal Square” (Radio Street) and back to Mežaparks. A part of the route from Ausekļa Streert will be closed.
Trolleybuses
Trolleybuses No. 5 and 25 – will run from Pauls Stradiņš hospital and Iļģuciems by the route to Kalnciema Street, then along Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11th November Embankment, 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Kalpaka Boulevard, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street and further by the route. From Daugava stadium and Brīvības Street, the above trolleybuses will run by the route to Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, then along Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Raiņa Boulevard, 13th January Street, 11th November Embankment, Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street and further by the route.
Trolleybus No. 12 – will run from Āgenskalna priedes by the route to Kalnciema Street, then along Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11th November Embankment, 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route.
From Šmerlis, the trolleybus will run by the route to Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, then along Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Raiņa Boulevard, 13th January Street, 11th November Embankment, Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street and further by the route.
Minibuses and express buses
Minibus No. 237 – will run from Imanta by the route to Slokas Street, then along Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11th November Embankment, 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Dzirnavu Street, Baznīcas Street, Stabu Street and further by the route. From Esplanade, the minibus will run by the route to Brīvības Boulevard, then along Brīvības Boulevard, Raiņa Boulevard, 13th January Street, 11th November Embankment, Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street and further by the route.
Minibus No. 241 – will run from the Airport by the route to Slokas Street, then along Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11th November Embankment, 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Brīvības Boulevard (turnabout near Elizabetes Street). From Esplanade, the minibus will run by the route to Brīvības Boulevard, then along Brīvības Boulevard, Raiņa Boulevard, 13th January Street, 11th November Embankment, Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street and further by the route.
Express bus No. 336 – will run from Zolitūde by the route to Kalnciema Street, then along Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11th November Embankment, 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Tērbatas Street, Dzirnavu Street, Baznīcas Street. On May 20, 2018, from 8:30 approximately, public transport delays are likely on the Akmens Bridge. There will be the following changes in the public transport traffic from 8:00 until 16:15 approximately:

Buses No. 1, 6 and 9 – will run to the centre by the route to Stabu Street, then along Stabu Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Elizabetes Street, Satekles Street, Dzirnavu Street and further by the route. From the centre, the buses will run by the route to Marijas Street, then along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route.
Buses No. 2 and 24 – will run to the centre by the route to Duntes Street, then along Duntes Street, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Stabu Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route. From the centre, the bus will run by the route to Marijas Street, then along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Duntes Street, Tilta Street and further by the route.
Buses No. 3, 21 and 40 – will run from Daugavgrīva, Imanta and Ziepniekkalns by the route to Marijas Street, then along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route. In the direction of Daugavgrīva, Imanta and Ziepniekkalns, the buses will run by the route to Stabu Street, then along Stabu Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street and further by the route.
Bus No. 10 will run, from 8:30 until 10:30 approximately, from the centre by the route to Akmens Bridge, then across Akmens Bridge, along Uzvaras Boulevard, Valguma Street, Akmeņu Street, Mūkusalas Street and further by the route. In the direction of the centre, the bus will run by the route to Kārļa Ulmaņa gatve, then along Kārļa Ulmaņa gatve to the turnabout, without reaching Mūkusala rotation circle, then along Kārļa Ulmaņa gatve to the turn to Bauskas Street, then along Bauskas Street, Jelgavas Street, Akmeņu Street, Valguma Street, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge and further by the route.
Bus No. 11 – will run to the centre by the route to Stabu Street, then along Stabu Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route. From the centre, the bus will run by the route to Marijas Street, then along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street and further by the route.
Bus No. 12 will run, from 9:00 until 11:30 approximately, from the centre by the route to Turgeņeva Street, then along Gogoļa Street, Firsa Sadovņikova Street, Ludzas Street, Lauvas Street, Lomonosova Street, Lubānas Street, Salaspils Street, Rušonu Street, Prūšu Street, Maskavas Street, Dienvidu Bridge and further by the route.
Bus No. 13 – will run to terminal „Preču 2” by the route to Daugavgrīvas Street, then along Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11th November Embankment, 13th January Street, Marijas Street and further by the route. Bus route No. 20 – will run from Pļavnieki by the route to Brīvības Street, then along Brīvības Street, Stabu Street and back by the route to Pļavnieki.
Bus No. 23 will run, from 8:30 until 10:30 approximately, from the centre by the route to Akmens Bridge, then along Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Valguma Street, Akmeņu Street, Jelgavas Street and further by the route to Baloži. In the direction of the centre, the bus will run by the route to Jelgavas Street, then along Jelgavas Street, Akmeņu Street, Valguma Street, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge and further by the route.
Bus No. 26 will run, from 8:30 until 10:30 approximately, from the centre by the route to Akmens Bridge, then along Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Valguma Street, Akmeņu Street, Mūkusalas Street and further by the route. In the direction of the centre, the bus will run by the route to Jelgavas Street, then along Jelgavas Street, Akmeņu Street, Valguma Street, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge and further by the route.
Bus No. 30 – will run from Daugavgrīva by the route to Slokas Street, then along Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11th November Embankment, 13th January Street, then turn about and go back to Daugavgrīva along 13th January Street, 11th November Embankment, Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street and further by the route.
Buses No. 37, 41 and 53 – will run from Imanta and Zolitūde by the route to Slokas Street, then along Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11th November Embankment, 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Inženieru Street to stop „University of Latvia” of trolleybus No. 15. In the direction of Imanta and Zolitūde, the buses will run from Inženieru Street along Raiņa Boulevard, 13th January Street, 11th November Embankment, Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street and further by the route.
Bus No. 50 – will run to the centre by the route to Aleksandra Čaka Street, then along Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route. From the centre, the bus will run by the route to Marijas Street, then along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Stabu Street and further by the route.
Bus route No. 57 will be closed on May 20.
Trams
Tram No. 5 – will run from Iļģuciems by the route to Aspazijas Boulevard, then along Aspazijas Boulevard, Krišjāņa Barona Street, Radio Street, 13th January Street and back by the route to Iļģuciems. A part of the route from the Mīlgrāvis terminal will be closed.
Tram No. 7 – will run from Ķengarags by the route to Aspazijas Boulevard, then along Aspazijas Boulevard, Krišjāņa Barona Street, Radio Street, 13th January Street and back by the route to Ķengarags. A part of the route from Ausekļa Streert will be closed.
Tram No. 11 – will run from Mežaparka to stop „Railway Terminal Square” (Radio Street) and back to Mežaparks. A part of the route from Ausekļa Streert will be closed.
The Retro tram will run buy route „Radio Street - Mežaparks - Radio Street”.
Trolleybuses
Trolleybus route No. 1 will be closed.
Trolleybus No. 3 – will run from the Central market by the route to Marijas Street, then along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street and further by the route. From Sarkandaugava and Kundziņsala, the trolleybus will run by the route to Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, then along Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Stabu Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route.
Trolleybus route No. 5 will be closed.
Trolleybus No. 9 – will run from stop „Railway Terminal Square” by the route to Uzvaras Boulevard, then along Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street, Baložu Street and further by the route.
Trolleybus No. 12 – will run from Šmerlis by the route to Brīvības Street, then along Brīvības Street, Stabu Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, 13th January Street, 11th November Embankment, Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street, Baložu Street and further by the route. From Āgenskalna priedes, the trolleybus will run by the route to Kalnciema Street, then along Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11th November Embankment, 13th January Street, Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route.
Trolleybus No. 14 – will run from Mežciems by the route to Brīvības Street, then along Brīvības Street, Bruņinieku Street, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Stabu Street and back along Brīvības Street to Mežciems.
Trolleybus No. 17 – will run from Purvciems by the route to Brīvības Street, then along Brīvības Street, Stabu Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Elizabetes Street, Satekles Street to stop „Central Railway Terminal ” (terminal of trolleybus No 23). From stop „Central Railway Terminal”, the trolleybus will run along Satekles Street, Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route to Purvciems.
Trolleybus No. 19 – will run from Inženieru Street (terminal of trolleybus No. 15) to control centre „Ziepniekkalns” (terminal of bus No. 40). From 8:50 until 11:15 approximately, the trolleybus will not stop at stops „Zaķusala”, „Lucavsala” and „Mūkusalas rotation circle” on the way to Ziepniekkalns. Stop „Ziepniekkalns” (terminal of trolleybus No. 19) will be closed during the marathon. On the way from the University of Latvia, the trolleybus will stop at stop „Central Railway Terminal” of trolleybus No. 15 in Raiņa Boulevard, but will not stop at stop „Central Railway Terminal” of trolleybuses No. 3 and 19 next to the tunnel.
From control centre „Ziepniekkalns”, the trolleybus will run along Ozolciema Street, Valdeķu Street and further by the route to Inženieru Street.
Trolleybus route No. 25 will be closed.
Trolleybus No. 27 – will run from Ziepniekkalns to Railway Terminal Square by the route to Jelgavas Street, then along Jelgavas Street, Akmeņu Street, Valguma Street, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge and further by the route. Stops „Laivu Street”, „Mūkusala”, „Kīleveina grāvis” will be closed in the direction of the centre and stop „National Library” will be closed in both directions.
We also inform that several trolleybuses will change directions when going to/from a trolleybus depot.
Minibuses and express buses
Minibus No. 206 – will run from the centre by the route to Marijas Street, then along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route. In the direction of the centre, the minibus will run by the route to Stabu Street, then along Stabu Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route.
Minibus No. 224 – will run from the centre along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street and further by the route. In the direction of the centre, the minibus will run by the route to Stabu Street, then along Stabu Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street and further by the route.

In the direction of the centre, the express bus will run by the route to Stabu Street, then along Stabu Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street.
Express bus No. 316 – will run from Višķu Street by the route to Tērbatas Street, then along Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street (terminal at Marijas Street 1). In the direction of Višķu Street, the express bus will run by the route from Railway Terminal Square.
Express bus No. 336 – will run from Zolitūdes by the route to Slokas Street, then along Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11th November Embankment, 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Tērbatas Street, Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street (terminal at Marijas Street 1). In the direction of Zolitūde, the express bus will run along 13th January Street, 11th November Embankment, Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street and further by the route.
Tickets
During the marathon, on May 20, from 7:30 and until the closure of the event, passengers who have bought and use monthly e-tickets – personalized, non-personalizes smart cards and smart tickets for bus, trolleybus and tram routes that will be closed during the marathon, will be allowed to use these tickets on other bus, trolleybus and tram to reach the necessary destination, without registering their trips.
